What I'm Looking For:
I do a lot of set photography. Most of my shoots are with models in a semi-controlled setting at least. I shoot both indoors and outdoors with model photography, however I do capture them during movements as well, so I need a DSLR that can keep up with movement well. Other photography includes landscapes, parties, and situations that require shooting with minimal light and no flash. I would like a DSLR that has a LCD screen that can be used as a viewfinder as well, but it's not a necessity entirely. I want the ability to buy a variety of lenses as well.
I have been leaning towards the Canon Rebel XSi, but am still very torn on other Canon and Nikon models. I can't spend an outrageous amount of money on my first DSLR, so price is somewhat of an issue. I would consider myself a beginner still with DSLRs as well, despite using them enough to navigate my way through menus and settings.
So please, opinions matter on this topic. If you have a recommendation, please share it. Also, please tell me why you would/wouldn't buy specific cameras. The more information I have from photographers that have used the products, the better choice I can make. Aside from using the cameras for myself on a test run (which I've done with some), it's opinions and specs that I'm using to determine which DSLR to buy!
Thank you in advanced for those that respond! It's greatly appreciated!!!
